Blazonowanie InfoField	Deutsch: „Das Wappen der Stadt zeigt eine rote dreitürmige Torburg auf gelbem (goldenem) Schild. Die Turmdächer sind blau. Die Tormauer ist von Zinnen abgeschlossen. Über den Zinnen erhebt sich vor den drei Türmen ein blauer lüneburgischer Löwe in kampfbereiter Stellung, von dem der Kopf, der Rücken, der erhobene Schweif und die beiden Vorderpranken sichtbar sind.“ English: “Or a azure roofed three towered (the middle higher) fortified gate gules with open gate; above the embattled wall a demi lion rampant azure.”

Historia obiektu	Deutsch: Das Wappen ist abgeleitet von einem Siegel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Die Torburg symbolisiert die Stadt als solche. Der : Löwe steht für die früheren Landesherren der Fürsten von Lüneburg. English: The arms is derived from a seal of the 14th century. They show the lion of Lüneburg to which the town belonged till 1705. The fortified gate symbolises the town as such.
